FRIENDS of the Earth Scotland are holding their Spring Activist Gathering in Glasgow this weekend.
The event is aimed at both seasoned campaigners or people new to activism, including members and non members.
Director Dr Richard Dixon will deliver the opening speech – Creating a Fossil Free Scotland – at 10.45am.
Sessions will take place throughout the day on Saturday March 17 and will include
- Making air pollution history: A vision for clean transport;
- Climate campaigning in 2018: Scotland’s new Climate Bill;
- Where next for anti-fracking campaigners in Scotland?
- Intersectional approaches to climate justice;
- Creative campaigning and audacious activism;
- Divesting to make fossil fuels history.

Those planning to attend were being encouraged to register their participation at their Eventbrite link to help organisers plan for numbers.
It takes please at The Pearce Institute on Glasgow’s Govan Road with registration open from 10.30am.
The event comes a week after the group help a ceilidh to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
