Planet Unplugged is a journalism-led project aimed at raising the awareness of the Climate Emergency.
The site began life as Planet Scotland, but as global issues increasingly come to the fore, our editorial board took the decision in 2020 to extend our coverage to international.
It was founded by journalist Shaun Milne who was worried that the climate crisis and related stories were not receiving enough coverage of prominence, particularly in Scotland.
A former News Editor and Assistant Editor, he has worked for a range of publications including The Herald, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, Herald on Sunday, Sunday Telegraph, STV, Daily Record, Daily Mirror, Sunday People, Sunday Mirror, The Scottish Sun, Sunday Mail, The National and others.
Still in development, the project looks to publish environmental journalism, fact based analysis, comment pieces and podcasts.
Currently it is produced by entirely volunteers and contributors. For more details, or to talk about helping to fund the project into a full time operation, email firstname.lastname@example.org or DM @shaunmilne on Twitter.
