Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s First Minister, has laid her government’s claim to play a leading role in COP26 coming to Glasgow.
Following moves by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Cabinet to ensure it os Westminster calling the shots, she wrote directly to the premier to assert what activity she expected her ministers to play.
As both governments look to set our their environmental credential in the run up to their own respective Budgets, being aligned with the potential success of COP26 is crucial to both.
