EVENT: Protect the Oceans – Photo Exhibition in the Highlands

Greenpeace Inverness are hosting Protect the Oceans photo exhibition and event this Saturday. Read on to find out more:

What is happening?

Do you think protecting the oceans is important? Do you want to do something to help? Well you can!

Come along to our Protect the Oceans event. You can learn more about what actions are being taken and what you can do as well. Take a look at our fabulous photos showing the ocean from the Arctic to the Antarctic.

This is an informal drop in event which is open to anyone of any age and hosted by Greenpeace. Why not pop along and find out more about what we are doing over a nice brew?

We promise you a warm and friendly welcome whether you just are just browsing, want to learn more about our campaigns or you want to find out what you can do to help.

While you are here why not see if you can hear any dolphin chatter on the hydrophone, or see what wildlife you can spot using the telescope or from the wildlife gardens.

The old ticket office is right beside the firth as it used to be the ticket office for the ferry that ran before the Kessock bridge was built. It has fabulous views so why not take some photos of your own?

Tea, coffee, plant based milk, squash and perhaps some vegan baking will be available on a serve yourself basis for no charge.

How do I get there?

If you want to make it a bit of an outing the North Kessock hotel is opposite with plenty of tempting treats on offer.

Getting here by bus is easy – the number 23 goes from Inverness bus station to North Kessock itself. Other buses include the 25, 26C and 27.

Some of these stop Kessock layby on the A9 which requires walking down a long flight of steps to get to North Kessock. For accurate information check stagecoachbus.com for exact buses, timings and stops

If you are travelling by car there is free parking right beside the venue. Just follow the signs into North Kessock and continue along with the sea on your right. The old ticket office is located right beside the old ferry slipway.

Toilets are located right beside the venue – they require a 20p payment.

When does it take place?

12-2pm Saturday February 15th, Old Ticket Office, North Kessock

Details are availabe at Eventbrite.
