WWF Scotland Advisory Council call for volunteers ahead of Brexit to help lead on policy and campaigning issues

WWF SCOTLAND has issued an invitation calling for people to apply to join its influential Advisory Council.

The voluntary position is likely to see new council members play a key role in steering one of the nation’s best known organisations.

It comes as the charity continues work on its strategic plan for July 2018 in what is likely to be a key period of activity.

The role – which is being highlighted at WWF Scotland’s website – hopes to attract people with specialist knowledge.

It states that it is particularly keen to hear from those with ‘expertise in devolution, in particular EU environmental regulation and the constitutional/policy implications of Brexit for environmental policy in Scotland’.

Campaigning and public engagement are also key requirements of the position.

WWF Scotland has been working on issues around policy solutions in areas such as climate change and protecting Scotland’s marine environment.
